Beach Bliss: Designing Your Dream Beach Wedding
May 13, 2019
With summer almost upon us, we’ve got sand, sun, and surf on our minds! From tropical beach destinations to oceanfront affairs close to home, saying I Do amidst blue skies and bluer water seems like a pretty great idea to us. Slip on your sandals, and grab a fruity cocktail for the ultimate beachy celebration.
The Dress
Lightweight and airy, a perfect beach wedding dress is understated with the right amount of sparkle. Simple in its beauty, we love the natural waist of the Roxie gown as it flows from the Chantilly lace bodice. We can already picture the A-line chiffon skirt trailing seamlessly through the soft sand. The pearl and crystal beading mixed with the fit to flare silhouette on the Rochelle gown adds a glamorous touch while keeping with the relaxed theme.
The Venue
Look no further than the beach itself! A ceremony right on the sand, as the sun begins to set, and the sound of ocean waves complete the soundtrack to your vows. Line the sandy aisle with glass candle lanterns and pink flower petals to compliment the sunset. As the festivities continue, your guests can move from the beach to a resort space just a few steps away. Go for a cocktail hour outside overlooking the water, with dinner and dancing right inside.
The Flowers
Beachy blooms will have a nice mix of colorful and earthy tones. The palm leaf is a true tropical statement. Blend them with white roses for a light and natural combination for your table centerpieces. For a stunning beach bouquet that will evoke the beautiful hues of the water, include bright blue orchids into a mix of soft calla lilies. Baby’s breath and pink hydrangeas are another great choice for adding in a pop of color to your petals.
The Food
All this ocean talk has us craving delicious fresh seafood and tropical drinks! Picture a clambake style dinner, complete with mini lobster rolls, shrimp cocktail, and corn on the cob. Create custom cocktails that match your tropical theme with plenty of pineapple, kiwi, and mango infusions! For cute dessert bites, mini cupcakes with seashell decorations will match your décor swimmingly!
The Dreamy Details
An idyllic setting like the beach is filled with inspiration for all the smaller details of your big day. Use turquoise sea glass for table place cards and colored glass vases for your table flowers. Incorporating splash of blue hues on your cake will make it a truly nautical looking treat. Send your guests off with a festive and fun token of the celebrations with a flip flop shaped bottle opener.
